in a weird way, i'd consider myself unworthy to talk to him.
not in the literal sense, but just in a vague emotional sense.
i mean, who am i? Some stranger who is a fan of the music. Great. But I'm sure there's nothing I could say that is non-intrusive and non-presumptuous that he hasn't heard a thousand times.
"Great album billy! Love your work!"
"Oh, thanks. Yep."
I would feel completely unentitled to talk to him about anything else.......
And if I DID talk to him about something of actual substance, he'd probably scar my fan-boy relationship-at-a-distance to him by acting like a total jerk to me by being presumptuous and over-bearing in his opinions and essentially telling me I'm wrong and I'm an idiot. How nice. I mean, we probably disagree on a lot of things. No doubt.
So I guess if I were going to give anything a shot, and hope for a convo without conflict, it'd have to be something in which we have common ground on. But then again - he'd have to be in the mood to care.

I'm really sad you think you'd have a poor exp in talking to him, I have alot in common w/ him personally, so I've always felt like I could have a nice convo if I ever had the chance to do it.
I almost got to in '08 after a concert, but this girl jumped right in front of me as he was making it over my way. I could've grabbed him from where I was standing he was so close, and I was so mad at that girl...

 well if I could ask him one thing, in person or not, I would ask him what is more important to him, to be mainstream popular like in the 90's and to appease his fan base, or to appease himself and keep the integrity of his music/art by being true to himself and his soul?? keeping his art real..

spose when you look at the new release of the boxset it's not his actual artwork on it :lol:
I kind of miss seeing his quirky drawings on his discs. He must not like his own art (not referring to the music itself)

his art as in his not someone elses who made some pretty cover for the mcis boxset.. that's what I'm sayin'
his music is real which is therefore real art of his own

lol those were an interesting display of art! it's just nice to see his art he creates outside of music. I dont care if he doesn't like it, others do and it's pretty nice of him to share it. he should do that again
