Putin made a statement about removing the neonazis from Ukraine.
Then I look at our own country for the past 2 years. It's a bit interesting when you think about corruption level and the groups of protesters/Antifa. Then seeing folks over seas protesting, they have a similar look dress/hair color and most are young (russian protesters, didnt see many in ukraine due to war in that country)
Anyways, so I started thinking about the masks and those that flip out (Karen's as they call them lol) those are the MSM followers oddly enough.
Went to work and the masks can be taken off (thank god) only 4 of us took pir masks off yesterday. MSM really did a number on people's minds.

Well, there IS something to ultra-nationalists in Ukraine, who are called Nazis by Russia because of the Ukrainian nationalists' history during WW2 of allying themselves with the Nazis to kill Russians in a genocidal way. True story. The entire reason there has been a civil war in Ukraine is because you have the ethnic Ukrainian west and the Russian/Russian-speaking east of Ukraine. And there was some stuff going on in the aftermath of the Western-backed Maidan coup in 2014 that was truly not fair to the Russian speaking east of Ukraine. Pro-war people I know in Russia are saying this war didn't start just now, it started 8 years ago - and they aren't wrong in that mindset.
That being said, Putin has been using the situation to further his own agenda of what seems to be his pie-in-the-sky ambition of reuniting the Soviet Union/old Russian Empire. Which I used to not think he was totally serious about but now, based on his recent revelatory words, I'm thinking this dude has a Napoleon complex (did you know he's super short, too?)
What the Ukrainian government was doing with Russian speakers in Ukraine wasn't right - but it's not right for Russia to go violently attempting to overthrow their country, either. Two wrongs don't make a right and the Russian wrong here is certainly the more grievous one as well.
Furthermore, this isn't merely about Russians in Ukraine. That's just the pretext. What we all know this is really about is Russia vs. NATO.
And to be fair towards Russia, NATO and Western leaders broke their word all through the 90's and into the 2000's as NATO continued to expand eastward towards Russia. Which yes, on a strategic level, most certainly made Russia feel threatened - even though I think NATO is a defensive alliance and I really can't imagine NATO ever attacking Russia. But Putin sees it differently.
I wish something would have been done over the years to bring Russia into the fold of democratic nations, not further back it into a corner and piss all over it, thus making the rise of a leader like Putin practically inevitable.
Did we not learn the lessons of history with WW2, when Europe and the world pissed all over Germany in the aftermath of WW1? The Germans were humiliated and broken and wanted to return to greatness - and so then came along Adolf Hitler.
Hell, you could argue the same thing maybe happened with France and Napoleon in the aftermath of the French Revolution. Some proud nation gets humiliated or broken down and then they rise again with a vengeance that makes everyone suffer, because no one was smart enough to pursue policies that might dissuade that from happening.
And here we are. 2022. Same old thing.
I pray for the people of both Ukraine and Russia. I know people in both countries and have visited or lived in them both. Most Russians don't want this. Ukraine deserves to exist. Peace and liberty must prevail.

That's great if true, but it doesn't bring back anyone who died. Ukraine isn't allowing all men to leave apparently. Forcing them to fight if need be? So much bullshit to sift through online. Kinda nuts some of the propaganda people share and they believe it. Over hyped ukraine winning military news has people believing Russia losing, russia military is without food, ran out of gas, thousands of Russian soldiers died etc. 🤦♀️ I was going to post something else, but cant remember. If MSM lies, why are these folks who say that all reading and parroting the same news everywhere. It's bizarre as fuck! The Ukranian people should be allowed safe passage to flee and it seems to be that way. Although I've seen video of azov battalion guys attacking a citizen. Dont know the context as to why. Apparently the azov battalion is the neo nazi's Russia is referencing that are killing Russian Ukrainians. |

Almost like watching a playwright by William Shakespeare but in 2022.. it's bonkers! Yeah. I think their numbers on Russian casualties are likely inflated to boost morale. But hey, whatever works. It's still a fact the Russian military has been having a hard time of it. Guess 8 years of training and armor/weapons/supplies can go a long way. Things seem to have stalled....3 weeks in I'm already exhausted with the news of it and how it's been affecting our own lives here. My wife withdrew from representing Russia in our school's International Festival because she was afraid of our kids getting Russophobic comments at school, which has already been starting to happen. |
