Since I’m on birth control, and don’t want kids ever, I don’t see what use my periods are for. Planning to take some birth control shot to stop them altogether completely, a load off my mind really. I’m on manic low and have ADHD and OCD when on mine, thence why I really don’t see why I should have them every 3 weeks for 4-5 days. It’s just a stress less for me personally really indeed. Odin, hope it’s okay to vent about this because I’m just fed up with mine myself. I feel icky, gross and disgusting whilst on mine.

Not at all a problem to vent about it I didn't know they had birth control shots. Does that stop it permanently or what? I can imagine how stressful it must be, even though I don't get them (thank goodness).

It's not natural to have something injected into you to stop your periods. Also, fyi: I took the shot for a year, gained weight, and ended up being 1 stage away from full blown cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is one of the side effects to it apparently. They dont give you that information until after you get the shot. I didnt read it either. My mother pointed it out in the booklet once I was diagnosed and required surgery for it. Then once I finally got pregnant.....can't say for sure, but my son was growing ridiculously fast for a baby. Was VERY VERY odd. They have a chart for the percentile of height and weight. He was always off the charts until reaching high school. I kinda think that may have caused him to be borderline aspergers. He would never be diagnosed, but definitely has some minor quirks that would fall in the spectrum.
Definitely think the shot is BAD.

Perimenopause is awful. My symptoms have slowly been worsening. I felt absolutely awful yesterday. Joints and muscles ached. Each day for the past week has given a different symptom to feel. Yeah hasn't been fun. Yesterday was the worst. Felt like seeing doctor, but nah. I've also slacked on my vitamins. I feel crappy today, but definitely major improvement. It's like I get about 1 1/2 weeks per month of feeling good until the old lady monthly symptoms kick in. Yeah, this shit sucks.

I have to admit, they are useless to me personally as well, as I am a man and really can't find anything good to do with them, unless I'm asking someone for some menstrual blood to summon demons or something.
