Checked out the accusations.
Alls I got to say is....that chick was sleeping in the same bed with the dude over an extended period of time. What did she think would happen? I'm not saying that justifies what Lagana allegedly (yes, I think likely) did, but I am saying any woman who gets in bed with a dude for a long period of time is very naive if she thinks that some sort of sexual proposition isn't going to eventually be attempted. Not dismissing, not excusing - just saying that she put herself in a position where, allegedly, some pervy groper could do what she says he did.
And okay, looks like clothes were on but at some point the dude has got to be thinking, hey....maybe she is open? After all she's sleeping in the same bed with me...(for all we know, maybe they spooned or cuddled and he was poking her with his boner and she was chill with it) so that's a signal right? Not saying he was a genius but dudes think with their other head sometimes. As do females. But when females suddenly get frisky with males out of the blue, men don't normally go all "#metoo" about it....nor do I think they should unless it was something absolutely outlandish and harassing.
I'm not saying what Lagana allegedly did was right. But my guess is that he probably thought that if he made a physical pass at her that there was at least a good chance she would reciprocate.
In her words, he put his hand down her pants and was touching himself for a few moments and then turned over to signal she wasn't into it.
My question is....in what way did his hand get down the front of her pants? Was it slowly, centimeter by centimeter, inch by inch? If you touch a woman at the edge, and she lets you....and then you go a little closer to the prize, and she lets you...and you keep heading in that direction, AND SHE LET'S YOU, that is seen as a signal for "all clear."
Or was it an abrupt, totally unexpected groping? That's what she makes it sound like but she does not clarify.
Also, this chick, Liz Savage? Apparently, according to her Twitter profile, she is
Antifa.
I don't trust anyone who is a member of Antifa. For anything. They are full of all sorts of left-wing radical agendas. They will find any excuse to take anyone down who is a man, a capitalist, a conservative, Republican, what-have-you. They will imagine themselves victims of their oppressors at any and every opportunity and turn it into a political crusade.
I don't know Dave Lagana. He may be a douchebag, for all I know. She certainly paints him as one. Maybe it all happened exactly as she describes it. Maybe he totally groped her out of the blue like a perv, with no inviting hints or signals, and then totally treated her like a jerk before and after. That could all be true. And if so, that certainly sucks.
But there are two sides to every story. That's all I'm saying. And I'll be damned if I take the word of some Antifa rep at face value over anything.
I know, I'm in lawyer mode here. But I hate letting the likes of people like her just make accusations against people and then seeing careers ruined over it.
But I'm addressing her story alone.
You mention other dudes who apparently had things happen to them?
Where there's smoke, there's usually fire, so it may very well be that Lagana could be predatory and that he needed to step down, yes.
Lol, but still. Fk Antifa and anyone who represents them. Commie, domestic terrorist bastards.
